Assuro partnered with the global Swedish fashion brand Totême to establish the foundation for a U.S. strategy aimed at increasing growth while also strengthening the brand’s positioning.

The Goal

Our objective was to map Totême's U.S. customer base and generate insights on how they could optimize their growth across the U.S. without increasing spending. Additionally, we focused on key cities in regions where competition was intensifying. We conducted hyper-local research and insights work to determine how Toteme could succeed in these key cities, as well as develop a framework to identify where, to whom, and when they should invest their marketing budget.

The Challenge

The luxury fashion segment is highly competitive, with global brands investing heavily and exhibiting strong creative power in key regions. Given the vast size of the U.S. market, we needed to dig deeper into key cities and regions—focusing on specific areas and suburbs—rather than targeting the entire state. Simultaneously, we had to define the strategy for the entire U.S., identifying which customer segments to target and where to invest to drive revenue that could fuel success in these key cities.

The Solution - Scout

With time being a critical factor, we used our Scout product, focusing both nationally and on specific cities. This allowed us to gather actionable insights and create a format to track customer behavior over time. Using these insights, we worked closely with Totême’s marketing team to implement projects across the organization, ensuring that everyone could leverage the data to improve conversions.

The results were impressive: better decisions were made not only for marketing but also for content creation, e-commerce strategies, design, finance, and performance. Most importantly, store staff were empowered to enhance customer service and sales performance based on a clearer understanding of customer profiles. A true win-win for everyone.
